The restaurant is housed in a building with an illustrious history. It was built about 70 years ago by the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco). The property went from storing crackers to serving drinks when during the prohibition years it became the "Blind Tiger," a speakeasy. Patrons would come to this secret saloon to see the fictitious blind tiger but they didn't seem to mind that it never appeared as long as the drinks kept flowing. The speakeasy was destroyed by a tornado in 1938 a ...

USA Today mentioned Bocci's as one of the leading Italian restaurants in the United States. Bocci's is ably managed by Hope Reid who sees that the young attractive staff knows exactly what they're talking about when they describe the excellent menu as well as nightly specials and ensures that the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. When I last ate there, we were served by Richard who did an excellent job, handled a special request with cool aplomb and encouraged us to try several things that wer ...

Vickery's Beaufain Street Bar & Grill opened April 27, 1993 in an old Goodyear tire store (you can still see the writing on the wall), and won a Carolopolis award for renovations. Vickery's Beaufain Street Bar & Grill was the first opened in Charleston and our large group of family and friends has spread from here. With the open patio and easy access to shopping on King Street, it has fast become home to everyone stopping in over the years.
